Sega Announces Iron Man 2 Game
Movie tie-in to hit with film of the same name in 2010.
Sega announced today that it is working on a tie-in game for the upcoming Marvel film Iron Man 2. Sega was the developer of the first Iron Man movie-based game, and despite middling reviews it's not surprising to hear that they're heading up the second. The game is set to launch in 2010, likely within a week or two of the summer blockbuster. That gives them a year and a half to make this game solid, so here's hoping it turns out better than the last.
"Sega and Marvel are collaborating closely to ensure we deliver an authentic Iron Man experience," said Sega president Simon Jeffery in a press release. That experience will probably include the likenesses of Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, who are said to be playing Crimson Dynamo and Justin Hammer in the film, respectively. Both Rourke and Robert Downey Jr. (who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man) have been getting Oscar buzz lately, so at the very least the game will have Academy cred.
