New Details On Dead to Rights: Retribution Revealed

Reboot will star a police officer and his dog Shadow.

Do you want a "gritty crime drama" on your Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3? Namco Bandai thinks you do. That's why they're releasing Dead to Rights: Retribution on the PlayStation and Xbox 360.

According to Kotaku, the narrative will center on police officer Jack Slate and his dog Shadow. The dog isn't just for show either, as it will be getting into the act via the new "hybrid combat system," which will combine third-person shooting, hand-to-hand combat and the dog.

"Dead to Rights: Retribution is a fresh look at the franchise, with a ground-up design for the game mechanics, world, characters and narrative," said Volatile Games project director Imre Jele. "We've reimagined Dead to Rights for both fans of the franchise and a brand new audience alike."
