The Force Unleashed Wins Writers Guild Award
Star Wars story beats out Fallout 3, Tomb Raider, and more.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was honored this weekend by the Writers Guild of America, winning the 2009 award for videogame writing. Haden Blackman, Shawn Pitman, John Stafford and Cameron Suey from Lucasarts were credited for the accomplishment. The Force Unleashed managed to beat other strong contenders like Fallout 3, Tomb Raider Underworld, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, and Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble. Yeah, we know what that last one sounds like.
Though the game received mostly middling reviews, most agreed that the plot and writing were among its best parts. If you think it deserves the award or if another game would have been your choice, let us know in the comments.
